The issue my topic is connected to is economics because we live in a capitalist society where one wants to accumulate as much wealth as they can possibly can attain to sustain a “good” lifestyle. So by individuals wanting wealth, they try to find ways to find money to support their family, which in the long run leads to gang violence that leads to gun violence as well. We as an American population accumulate the thought and question about why are youths prone to be victims of gun violence and the answer is because one has lack of income, use an excessive amount of drugs and alcohol. There are multiple perspectives on my concerning topic prior to the understanding of the question that many are eager to get answer stating “why are youths prone to be victims of gun violence.” One individual answered and said because youths are being a part of peer pressure primarily meaning having the access to change one’s mind to do something right or wrong such as believing it to be a factoid. Many believes that gun violence happen to any age however but it is just that youths are more quicker to be victims because of lack of knowledge and understanding and always wanting to test things out. A wise man once told me that “it might not seem or be good but its working for my good.” Another perspective is that youths are quicker to react to things prior to older people. Youths don’t understand that patience is a virtue so by them not knowing they try to find quicker ways to accumulate what they want and somebody also told me that “the quickest route leads to a dead end.” An article also believes that youths are prone to be victims of gun violence because many of them have the audacity to drop out of school and go down the wrong road that leads to destruction because the truth of the matter is without schooling your life will be like hell because you will be so anxious and burning to do the wrong things. Youths must understand that they need to be in the house at a certain time because most gun violence occurs at night. So we as a united society need to help reduce the incredible amount of gun violence that is affecting our children and our entire environment as a whole.
